This web site uses technical cookies to guarantee proper functioning of the online applications
procedures. This document provides information about the use of cookies, their technologies and how
to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small files of text that web sites send to and register on your device during your
navigation on the sites themselves. Such cookies are retransmitted to the web sites during your next
visit to the same site. Cookies qualified as “third-party” are usually provided by a different web
site than the one the user is visiting. This is because almost every web site has elements (such as
images, maps, sounds and specific links to web pages on other domains, etc.) that reside on
different servers than that of the site being visited.
Types of cookies
Based on their characteristics and functions, cookies are classified in different
categories:
- Technical cookies. Technical cookies are used exclusively for “transmitting a communication on an
electronic communications network or, only as strictly necessary to the supplier of a service of the
company, the information explicitly requested of the subscriber or of the user to provide such a
service” (see article 122, clause 1 of the Code). They are not used for other purposes and are
normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the web site. They can be divided into
navigation or session cookies that guarantee normal navigation and enjoyment of a web site;
analytical cookies, assimilated to technical cookies if used directly by the site manager to collect
information in aggregate form about the number of visitors and how they visit the site itself;
functionality cookies, that allow the user to personalize navigation by setting a series of selected
criteria to improve the service provided to the user. No authorization is required prior to
memorizing these types of cookies, although notice of their use must be communicated pursuant to
article 13 of the Code. If the site manager makes use only of these types of cookie, the form of
such notice will be at the discretion of the web site manager.
- Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are those configured to create a user profile for sending
advertising messages aligned with the preferences expressed by the user during web navigation. In
consideration of the invasiveness of these cookies in the private sphere of the user, European and
Italian provisions require that the user be adequately informed about their use and must express a
valid consent prior to their memorization. The Code refers to these cookies in article 122 and
provides that “archiving information on the terminal device of a subscriber or user or access to
previously archived information is granted exclusively at the condition that the subscriber or user
has expressed consent after being informed by the simplified mode prescribed in article 13, clause 3
(article 122, clause 1 of the Code). This web site makes no use of profiling cookies.
Third-Party Cookies
Visitors to our web site may receive cookies distributed by other organizations (third parties). One
example is the presence of social plug-ins for Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Google+; another is the
presence of cookies for viewing embedded multimedia content such as YouTube and Flickr. These parts
of the page are generated on the third-party sites but hosted and visualized on the page of
navigation. These plug-ins involve the transmission of cookies to and from all the third-party web
sites. The treatment of data gathered by third parties is disciplined by their own policy notices,
to which users are invited to refer. To guarantee greater transparency and ease of use, the URL
addresses of the various privacy policies and cookie policies are listed below.

Cookie analytics
WebTrends
To monitor and improve the services of our web site, we make use of a statistical analysis product
on the market to record access to the site. It can make use of cookies, whether persistent or not,
to collect statistical data and information about unique visitors to the web site. The Unique
Visitor Cookies contain an alphanumerical code to identify the navigation computer but do not
collect any personal data.
Google Analytics
Our web site also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis
service supplied by Google, Inc. ("Google"). These cookies are used only to monitor and improve the
services of our web site. For further information, please follow this link: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/
Users can selectively disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component supplied by
Google for the browser on the user’s device. To disable Google Analytics, please follow this link:

Cookie persistence
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command
is executed. Other cookies persist after the browser is closed and are available for successive
visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server
when they are created. In some cases, the duration has a fixed term; in others, the duration is
unlimited.
Cookie management
Users can decide whether to accept cookies by configuring the appropriate browser options.
Attention: partial or total disabling of technical cookies can impede the best navigation experience
of our web site.
Disabling third-party cookies has no negative effect on navigating our web site.
Settings can be defined for specific sites and web applications. Browsers also distinguish between
proprietary and third-party cookies and allow for different settings. For example, in Firefox, the
Tools->Options->Privacy menu opens a control panel where the different types of cookies can be
accepted or rejected and cancelled if desired. It is easy to find documentation on the Internet
about how to configure cookie management rules for the browser. For your convenience, we list some
